External Contributor Interface

The External Contributor Interface allows users to directly submit legislation to the SHERLOC team. Once uploaded, legislation is then reviewed by the SHERLOC team for publication. All materials received by the SHERLOC team are verified by the relevant national authorities to ensure that they are accurate and up to date.

Please note that the submission of legal provisions is only available in the six official languages of the United Nations: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.

How do I access the External Contributor Interface?

The External Contributor Interface can be accessed by anyone who has a Unite ID. Unite Identity is an enterprise identity management system that eliminates the need for multiple usernames and passwords to access UN tools and applications.

Users can sign up for a Unite ID by clicking ‘Register’ on the right and filling out the registration form with their personal details and details of any relevant institutional affiliation (such as a government department, international organization, university, or NGO).

Once a user has submitted a request for a Unite ID, this request will be received by the SHERLOC team and either approved or denied. You may be contacted to provide further information about your interest in contributing legislation to SHERLOC before your account is approved.

Once a request for a Unite ID has been approved, you will receive an email with information on how to complete your registration. When registration is completed, you will be able to access the External Contributor Interface by clicking ‘Login’ on the right and entering your Unite ID and password.

Users that already have a Unite ID can access the External Contributor Interface immediately by logging in with their Unite ID.
