This section on Electronic Evidence provides an overview of different type of resources (laws, jurisprudence, bibliographic abstracts, policies etc.) adopted at national and regional levels to regulate the collection, use and admissibility of electronic evidence in legal proceedings. All the resources displayed in this section can also be accessed directly within their respective databases, from SHERLOC's frontpage.
Electronic evidence or digital evidence is any probative information stored or transmitted in digital form.
The idea of this section is to provide a one-stop access point to different types of resources hosted on SHERLOC and covering different aspects of electronic evidence or digital evidence, such as: preservation of data, international cooperation issues related to the request of electronic evidence as mutual legal assistance request for stored electronic evidence or for real-time collection of traffic data or content, etc.
