504. INDECENT BOOKS, PICTURES, SHOWS, ETC., IN PUBLIC

(1) A person who knowingly and without lawful justification or
excuse—
(a) exposes to view in any public place, any obscene picture,
photograph, video recording, drawing, or model or any
other object tending to corrupt morals; or
(b) exhibits any indecent show or performance in any public
place,
is liable on summary conviction to imprisonment for 6 months.

(2) It is a defence to a charge of any of the offences in this section
to prove that it was for the public benefit that the act
complained of should be done.

(3) Whether the doing of any such act is or is not for the public
benefit is a question of fact.

(4) For the purposes of this section—
“photograph” includes data stored on computer disc or by
other electronic means which is capable of conversion
into a photograph;
“video recording” means any recording on any medium from
which a moving image may by any means be produced
and includes the accompanying sound track.
