(1) There is established a body to be known as the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (in this Act referred to as “the Agency”).
(2) The Agency shall be a body corporate –
(a) with perpetual succession and a common seal;
(b) which may sue or be sued in its corporate name; and
(c) which may acquire, hold, purchase, mortgage and deal howsoever with property, movable or immovable, real or personal.
3. There is established for the Agency, a part time Governing Board (in this Act referred to as “the Board”).
(2) The Board shall consist of –
(a) a Chairman who shall be a person with knowledge and experience in matters related
to counter-trafficking in persons;
(b) two representatives of civil society based organizations involved in matters relating
to trafficking in persons;
