Student assessment

This section provides suggestions for post-class assignments for the purpose of assessing student understanding of the Module. Suggestions for pre-class or in-class assignments are provided in the Exercises section.

Undertake a 2,500-word reflective discussion on the national firearms regulations. Students should be able to:

• Describe the national legislative measures which exist in a given State.
• Critically assess the political, social and economic barriers which exist to prevent States' implementation and enforcement of national legislative measures relating to firearms.
• Critically discuss how the State and the international community can better cooperate in preventing and reducing the illicit acquisition and transfer of firearms.
