The case of SIEV 200 involves the arrival by boat of 62 smuggled migrants and two crew. The vessel was intercepted northwest of Christmas Island on 24 October 2010. There is no record of any prosecution of the crew or others involved in this venture.
The 62 passengers on board SIEV 200 were transferred to Christmas Island and placed in immigration detention for further processing.
At the time of writing, there was no record of any prosecution in relation to this case.
Two crew arrived on board SIEV 200. It is not known whether criminal charges were laid against either crew member.
